Curtis Louis Cardone (born 6 September 1916 in Madisonville, Louisiana; died 2 February 1969 in Houston, Texas) was an American entrepreneur and stockbroker. He was the first member of his family to attend college and is notable as the father of entrepreneur Grant Cardone.

Early life and career

Curtis Louis Cardone was born in Madisonville, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. He was the first in his family to pursue higher education, breaking new ground and setting the stage for his children’s ambitions.

He owned a grocery store and a life insurance agency, and later worked as a licensed stockbroker. Through hard work and entrepreneurship, he was able to purchase a family home by a lake in a good neighborhood.

Family and legacy

Curtis married Concetta Neil Cardone. Together, they had five children, including twin sons Grant and Gary, and other siblings.

Curtis passed away suddenly from a heart attack in 1968 at age 52. His death left the family — including a young Grant Cardone, who was then ten years old — without its primary provider. This loss profoundly impacted the family’s circumstances and became a formative event in Grant’s life and later achievements.
