Early life

Born and raised in Mumbai, Arjun is the son of Sachin Tendulkar and Dr. Anjali Tendulkar. He grew up around cricket and began charting his own path through Mumbai’s youth programs, ultimately representing India in under-19 against Sri Lanka in 2018.

Domestic career

He debuted in T20 cricket for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 15 January 2021, claiming 1 wicket for 34 runs in his first match. In 2022, he transferred to play for Goa in domestic competitions.

On 13 December 2022, Arjun played his first first-class match for Goa in the Ranji Trophy against Rajasthan. He made a century (120 from 207 balls) at No. 7 — a remarkable first-class debut that mirrored his father's similar feat in 1988.

IPL and franchise career

Selected by Mumbai Indians in the 2021 IPL auction, Arjun made his Indian Premier League debut on 16 April 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders. He picked up his first IPL wicket by dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar in a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Playing style

Standing at 6 ft 3 in, his tall frame aids in bounce and swing. While primarily recognized as a bowler, his first-class century underscores his capacity as a lower-order hitter.
